Italmobiliare: we will evaluate the Ubi increase

The chairman Giampiero Pesenti speaks at the annual shareholders' meeting. As for the investment in RCS, "the adjustment of the quotas which led to the recovery of 8,5 million".

Italmobiliare will decide whether or not to participate in the capital increase of Ubi Banca, which will start shortly, only after knowing the conditions of the operation. This was announced by the president of the company, Giampiero Pesenti, during the annual shareholders' meeting.

“We don't know yet – replied Pesenti to those who asked him what the group's intentions are -. We will see what the conditions will be and we will evaluate”. Italmobiliare owns, directly and indirectly, about 0,6% of the Lombard institute.

During the same meeting, the Chairman also referred to Italmobiliare's investment in RCS. “We had an impairment test carried out on 2010, which determined a recoverable value of 1,578 euro/share – concluded Pesenti -. Since our book value is lower, there was a positive adjustment to the value of the units which led to a recovery of 8,541 million”. According to the latest Consob analyses, Italmobiliare now controls 7,47% of Rcs.
