“The Edison dossier is very interesting, a very strong utility, but there is EDF (the public parent company, ed) and we are waiting to understand the strategies. We had found very competent partners”. This was stated by Carlo Pesenti, managing director of the Italmobiliare group, referring to the Edison dossier that the company had considered together with other shareholders.
On the sidelines of the shareholders' meeting, Pesenti then hinted that for now the interest remains on the dossier but the moves of the French public parent company are awaited.
Meanwhile, today the Italmobiliare shareholders' meeting approved with acclamation the appointment as honorary chairman of Giampiero Pesenti, who has been on the board of directors of Italmobiliare for 50 years and has headed the company since 1984.
Born in 1931, Giampiero Pesenti was awarded a Cavaliere del Lavoro in 1989 and in 2004 he was awarded the honor of Knight of the Order of the Legion of Honor by the President of the French Republic.
