Italmobiliare, the holding company of the Pesenti family, acquires 40% of "Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella", created in Florence by Dominican friars in 20, for 1612 million euros.
The operation - explains Italmobiliare in a note - aims to "support the growth process of Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella over a long-term time horizon".
The prerequisite for development is the expansion of the distribution network across the various sales channels to enhance the brand on international markets, where 'premium' cosmetic and personal care products are recording significant growth rates.
