L'Italian Design Day 2025, which celebrates its ninth edition, dives into the fascinating world of ceramic Italian company. This year the theme “Inequalities. Design for a better life” is enriched by a unique perspective: that of ceramics, a material that has always told stories of tradition and innovation. The 12 and 13 February a Warsaw e Krakow, a series of initiatives will highlight how ceramic design not only improves the aesthetics of spaces, but also makes a concrete contribution to reducing inequalities and improving daily life.
From job creation to revitalizing local communities, ceramics are a powerful tool for responsible development. An eco-sustainable material with a low environmental footprint that continues to evolve, finding new applications and technological innovations. Events and exhibitions on Italian ceramics in Krakow and Warsaw
The event, organized byItalian Embassy in Warsaw, By Italian Cultural Institutes in Warsaw e Krakow, and fromICE Agency WarsawIn partnership with Confindustria Ceramica and the International Museum of Ceramics of Faenza, will take place on Wednesday 12 February at the Krakow headquarters of Sarp – Association of Polish Architects and on Thursday 13 February at the Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw.
The program includes, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador, Luca Franchetti Leopard, the screening of the documentary film “Ceramics of Italy. A journey into sustainability” with the director Esmeralda Calabria e Armando cafeteria, general manager of Confindustria Ceramica. The architect's speech will follow Andrea Maffei on the use of ceramics in architectural design. In Warsaw, the initiative also includes the inauguration of the exhibition “Mater ceramica: materia viva e attuale”, organized in collaboration with the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, which presents a selection of works by Italian artists and designers, offering a glimpse of ceramic production from the twentieth century to today.
