Italy-Türkiye, Sace signs agreement to expand business

The agreement provides for the strengthening of communication and information channels between Sace and Yapi Kredi to identify strategic projects and support access to the necessary financing by companies operating in the Turkish market and interested in purchasing products and services from Italy .

Sace and Yapi Kredi, the leading private Turkish banking group, have signed a collaboration agreement to expand investment opportunities between Italy and Turkey. The agreement provides for the strengthening of communication and information channels between Sace and Yapi Kredi to identify strategic projects and support access to the necessary financing by companies operating in the Turkish market and interested in purchasing products and services from Italy . 

The agreement was announced in front of an audience of executives and managers of around 150 companies and financial institutions during a business event organized by Sace in Istanbul (Grand Tarabya Hotel) together with Yapi Kredi and UniCredit, on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of activity of the Turkish office of Sace.

Speaking at the event, Niccolo Ubertalli, deputy CEO of Yapi Kredi, said: “This agreement demonstrates Yapi Kredi's solidity and expertise in trade finance. To this end, UniCredit demonstrates once again that it is close to its Turkish customers and strongly committed to supporting them with easy and suitable financial solutions".

During the ceremony, Michal Ron, Managing Director, responsible for Sace's international network, underlined that "in recent years, Sace's commitments in Turkey have increased significantly, reaching 2,3 billion euros, making this one of the most strategic markets in our portfolio. Today's agreement represents a major step forward, setting the stage for a stronger partnership with a key player like Yapi Kredi. We are ready to explore new ways to facilitate exchange and investment opportunities between Italy and Turkey, for example in sectors such as leasing".
