Italy is the first luxury country with 23 companies in the Top 100: here are the rankings from the Deloitte Report

According to Deloitte's Global Powers of Luxury Goods 2023 the turnover generated in fiscal year 2022 from the sales of the former's luxury goods 100 bands in the world is equal to 347 billion dollars, 42 billion more than the previous year.

But who are the Italian companies in the ranking?

Top 10 luxury goods companies ranked by sales

Italian luxury carries the flag of Made in Italy high. On a composite basis, the growth rate of the Italian companies in the ranking was 19,4%, a value just below the average of the entire Top 100. Almost all companies were profitable, with double-digit profit margins recorded from Prada, Moncler, Max Mara EuroItalia, Liu.Jo, De Rigo and Morellato. Golden Goose, Morellato, Moncler, Euroitalia and Brunello Cucinelli are among the fastest growing companies, in fifth, eleventh, twelfth, fourteenth and seventeenth place respectively, thanks to double-digit CAGRs for the period FY2019-2022 (24,1%, 17,3%, 16,9% respectively , 15,3%, and 14,8%). The group Prada, Moncler and Giorgio Armani they are the three main Italian players in the ranking and, in aggregate, represent 35% of the sales of luxury goods achieved in FY22 by the Italian companies present in the ranking. While France continues to be the country which, with only seven companies in the ranking, four of which are in the top 10, achieves the most solid performance overall. In fiscal 2022, sales of the French companies in the ranking represent 32,3% of the total sales of the Top 100. The average size of French companies is $16,0 billion, more than four times the average of the Top 100 Furthermore, French companies also recorded the second highest net profit margin, equal to 19,3%.
