Italy-England, Conte returns to Turin

After the disappointing performance against Bulgaria and the controversy over the Marchisio case, the Azzurri host Hodgson's England in a luxury friendly match - Eder and Pellè play up front, Santon and Abate on the wingers - England flaunts the jewel Harry Kane .

Italy-England, Conte returns to Turin

Tonight Italy-England it will be played at 20 pm in the Juventus Stadium, where Antonio Conte will return for the first time after his farewell to the Bianconeri. He will do it for a luxury friendly between two national teams with a great tradition, but who haven't had very happy moments in recent times. Only a few months ago, the first match of the Brazilian World Cup, with goals from Marchisio and Balotelli (who will be missing tomorrow, for opposite reasons) and a useless goal from Sturridge, had the illusion that we were at the beginning of a long journey and brilliant.

Instead it ended there. After the first hangover, for the Azzurri, there were two games and two defeats, with zero goals scored. It was the English who came out of our group with their heads down, arm in arm with us, thus confirming their allergy to major football events.

Conte's Italy, once the absurd controversies over Marchisio's injury have returned, should field a partly experimental formation: go, therefore, to the attacking pair formed by Eder (savior of the fatherland against Bulgaria) and by Gratian Skin, long forgotten in our parts who found fortune between Holland and England, where, however, he hasn't scored for months.

In defense, however, space for Ranocchia, who should complete the 3-man line with Bonucci and Chiellini, while the latest arrivals, Abate and Santon, should find space on the outside.

Hodgson's England, back from five straight wins in the qualifying round, will line up what everyone considers to be the "next big thing" in British football, the Tottenham centre-forward Harry Kane, born in '93, making his second appearance for the national team, but already the author of a goal during his debut against Lithuania. Next to him, completing a formidable and well-matched duo, Captain Rooney.
