Today Fitch confirmed both the long-term creditworthiness (BBB+), stable outlook, and the senior unsecured debt of Italgas.
The confirmation of the rating reflects the update of the Italgas 2017-2023 Strategic Plan which defined the Group's medium-term strategic and financial objectives.
Fitch underlines how Italgas' current positioning, with respect to its rating level, is better than last year by virtue of the significant cash generation capacity and the progressive implementation by management of the operational efficiency plan announced to the market. Furthermore, Italgas managed to build its debt structure at a competitive cost, also thanks to favorable market conditions.
Iltalgas also announces that, a few months after its return to the Stock Exchange, which took place last November, the stock was included in the FTSE4Good index series.
The Company was assessed in the June 2017 review and met the stringent criteria of the FTSE independent methodology in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) area.
