Italcementi moves on and receives three stars from the Antitrust for legality

Italcementi receives three stars for legality from the Competition and Market Authority, the maximum score awarded for this recognition. This was communicated by the Bergamo-based group itself, which in a note lets it be known that the result achieved recognizes Italcementi's commitment to adapting to the highest ethical/social standards. In order to implement its corporate governance, the principles of the code of ethics and the commitments undertaken publicly, in fact, the company has launched specific legal compliance programs, both at group level and at individual country level, concerning antitrust, anti-corruption matters and criminal liability in general. Collaborations between Italcementi and institutional actors, above all Prefectures, have played a key role in achieving this recognition.

The Rating conferred on the group based in Bergamo constitutes an excellent judgment on compliance with the law and on the quality of corporate governance and its commitments to operate its business correctly and sustainably. The result takes on even more value when compared with the investigations which had also involved Italcementi in the last period. Among these, the hypotheses of mafia infiltration in the subsidiary "Calcestruzzi", which allegedly made a profit on some important Sicilian infrastructures and not by falsifying the quality of the cement used. Or the recent raid by Consob and Guardia d iFinanza right in the Bergamo offices of Italcementi to investigate the capital increase and insider trading hypotheses. Now Italcementi is reaping the benefits of having completely turned the page.

Italcementi's note concludes by stating that the specific and innovative operating protocols that follow the legality protocol signed by the Ministry of the Interior and Confindustria contribute to guaranteeing the correct development of the group's business.
