Istat: GDP slows down (+0,2% in the third quarter), at 2015 target risk

The Institute of Statistics also cuts its estimate of annual growth in the third quarter, to 0,8% from 0,9% – The goal of closing 2015 with growth of 0,9% compared to 2014 risks becoming more complicated.

It slows down the pace of growth of the Italian economy. It is revealed by theIstat, according to which the gross domestic product increased in the third quarter of 0,2% compared to the previous quarter and by 0,8% on an annual basis (from +0,9% in the previous estimate). The variation acquired for 2015 is equal to +0,6%.

The results recorded in the July-September period could complicate the achievement of the objective, also confirmed yesterday by Minister Padoan, to end 2015 with a 0,9% increase in GDP compared to last year.

On a quarterly basis, between August and September i national final consumption they grew by 0,4%, while gross fixed investments decreased by 0,4%. With regard to foreign components, imports increased by 0,5% and exports decreased by 0,8%.

The trend for the added value of all the main compartments: +2,3% in agriculture, +0,3% in industry and +0,1% in services. Positive changes in added value are also recorded in trend terms: 3,7% in agriculture, 0,9% in industry and 0,5% in services.

Looking at the rest of the world, in the third quarter, GDP recorded cyclical growth of 0,5% in the United States and the United Kingdom and 0,3% in France and Germany.

Year-on-year, the UK recorded an increase of 2,3% in the UK, against 2,2% in the US, 1,7% in Germany and 1,2% in France. The GDP of the Eurozone, on the other hand, recorded an increase of 0,3% on the previous quarter and of 1,6% on an annual basis.
