There are almost six out of ten Italian families who declare a worsening of the economic situation compared to 2012. This was revealed by Istat, according to which the share of households who see a deterioration in their conditions would have risen to 58,6% from 55,8 % of the previous year. The rather generalized discontent is greater in Northern Italy.
A similar trend is also seen for assessments of the personal economic situation: 58% of people declare themselves not at all or not very satisfied with their economic situation compared to 55,7% in the previous year.
The share of employed people who declare themselves very or fairly satisfied with their job is down slightly compared to 2012, at 73,2%. Individuals who are not very or not at all satisfied amount to 23,5%.
