Employment in large companies, gross of employees on layoffs, fell in July by 0,7% on an annual basis and by 0,1% compared to June. This was revealed by Istat, which calculated the figure taking into account seasonal differences.
Without taking into account layoffs, the number of working hours decreased by 1,5% on a trend basis and by 0,5% on the short term. The incidence of Cig is equal to 30,9 working hours per thousand, up by 0,3 hours per thousand.
As regards wages, it remains unchanged in July, the raw index increases by 4,1 on a year-on-year basis. Compared to July 2010, the gross salary per employee increased by 2% and labor costs by 0,5%.
