Il deficit/GDP ratio was 2,3% in the fourth quarter of last year, 1,1% higher than in the same quarter of 2013. TheIstat which also discloses that the ratio between deficit and GDP in the whole 2014 was equal to 3% (up by 0,1% compared to 2,9% in 2013 but still within the ceiling established by the European institutions).
It rises almost imperceptibly (+ 0,2%) il household disposable income for the whole of 2014. In the last quarter of 2014 disposable income fell by 0,4% compared to the third quarter of last year while it increased by 0,8% compared to the corresponding period of 2013.
The tax burden continues to grow which, according to Istat data in the fourth quarter of 2014 was equal to 50,3% (+0,1% compared to the same quarter of 2013). In 2014 as a whole, the tax burden stood at 43,5%, up even by 0,1 percentage points compared to the previous year (when it stood at 43,4%).
