Shopping cart at the record in the month of March. Although inflation remained stable last month, according to preliminary estimates by Istat, prices recorded increases of 3,3% on an annual basis compared to March 2011, and by 0,5% on a monthly basis, compared to 0,4% in the past month.
But it was precisely the so-called shopping cart, i.e. the most frequently purchased products, to mark the highest price increase: +0,6% on a monthly basis, on an annual basis compared to the same month of 2011 the increase is as much as 4,6% (4,5% in February), the highest value since October 2008.
