in June theinflation it increased by 0,3% compared to the previous month and by 1,2% on an annual basis, after +1,1% in May. Istat detects it, confirming the preliminary estimates. As for the so-called "shopping cart”, the index that measures the price trend of the most purchased products, increased last month by 0,4% on a monthly basis and by 1,7% on an annual basis (against +1,5% in May ).
In general, Istat points out that the slight acceleration in inflation in June is mainly attributable to the recovery in the prices of non-regulated energy goods, which grew on a monthly basis by 0,5%, with a significant attenuation of the decline on an annual basis (- 1,8%, from -4,8% in May).
Also contributing to the cyclical rise in the general index are the increases on a monthly basis in the prices of unprocessed food (+1,4%) and transport-related services (+0,7%), partially influenced by seasonal nature.
