The recovery phase ofItalian industry is confirmed, especially in manufacturing. This is supported by Istat, which today published the latest data for the month of August.
According to the Institute of Statistics, the orders rose by 2% in the quarter and fell by 6,8% year-on-year (-4,7% in eight months), while the turnover increased by 1% on the month and decreased by 7,6% on the year (from January to August -5,2%). In the June-August quarter, turnover rose by 0,9% and orders by 0,1%.
The industry orders relating to motor vehicles recorded a trend decline of 0,9% in August. Turnover, on the other hand, reported an increase of 7,5% on a year-on-year basis.
