According to Istat, the seasonally adjusted turnover indices for the main industry groupings show one positive cyclical change for energy (+7,6%), a negative change for capital goods (-2,5%), for intermediate goods (-2%) and for consumer goods (-1,3% with a -2,3 % for durable ones and -1,2% for non-durable ones).
The greatest tendential increase in turnover was recorded in the mining sector (+15,7%) and the manufacture of computers, electronic and optical products, electromedical and measuring devices and watches (+10,5%). The most important decreases, on the other hand, concern the manufacture of means of transport and other manufacturing industries, repair and installation of machines and equipment (both 14%).
As far as the orders sector is concerned, Istat recorded a increase in raw index in computer manufacturing, electronic and optical products, electromedical devices, measuring devices and watches (+22,1%). The most significant negative changes were instead recorded in the manufacture of means of transport (-17,8%), in metallurgy and in the manufacture of metal products (-11,6%) and in the wood, paper and printing industries ( -9,7%).
