Gets better the confidence climate of Italian companies. The Iesi composite index (Istat economic sentiment indicator) elaborated by the Institute of Statistics rose to 83,3 in September, after 82,0 in August, touching the highest for over a year to this part.
The improvement in confidence affects all economic sectors: the manufacturing index went from 93,4 in August to 96,6, with judgments on orders and production expectations growing. The Rpi, the analysis of the climate of confidence by main groupings of industries recorded an improvement in the indicator in consumer goods (from 92,8 to 96,0), in intermediate goods (from 94,2 to 98,0 ) and capital goods (from 91,7 to 94,8).
The construction business confidence climate index rose from 76,4 in August to 78,6. Assessments on construction orders and/or plans and expectations on employment improve (the balances increase from -52 to -49 and from -18 to -16, respectively).
Slightly different speech for services: the seasonally adjusted index of the business confidence climate of services grows from 79,8 to 80,8 and there is an improvement in expectations (from -13 to -6) which is contrasted by the worsening of judgments on the level of orders (the balance from -19 to -25).
In the retail trade, the confidence climate index rose from 86,6 in August to 91,1. The index increased both in large-scale distribution (from 81,2 to 90,3) and in traditional distribution (from 93,2 to 94,9).
