Improved consumer confidence which, in August, yes, it stood at 98,3 points, from 97,4 in July, thus touching the highest level for exactly two years, ie since August 2011. This was communicated by Istat.

The component on the economic situation showed clear growth, from 94,6 to 97,6, while the increase in the indicator on the personal situation, from 98,7 to 98,9, was more limited. The component of the current picture went from 96,1 in July to 96,9, that of the future from 99,7 to 101,0.

Both assessments and forecasts on the country's economic situation improve: the related balances increase from -127 to -118 and from -11 to -7, while a worsening of the indicator on unemployment expectations is recorded.

Assessments of the household's economic situation worsen (the balance of assessments passes from -62 to -67), while expectations show a slight improvement (the balance from -16 to -15). For assessments on the household budget, the balance decreases from -16 to -17.
