In January the turnover of the Italian industry recorded a drop of 1,3% compared to December 2012, with a drop of 1,7% on the domestic market and 0,4% on the foreign market. On average for the last three months, the total index recorded a decrease of 1,7% compared to the previous quarter. The data was released this morning by Istat.
Corrected for calendar effects (the working days were 22 against 21 in January 2012), the total turnover decreased in tendential terms by 3,4% with a reduction of 5,5% on the domestic market and an increase in 1,2% on the foreign one.
