In September, the turnover of the industry marked a slight increase on the previous month, but continues to decline on an annual basis. According to Istat, the figure, net of seasonality, registers an increase of 0,1% compared to August, synthesis of an increase of 0,7% on the domestic market and a decrease of 0,8% on the foreign market. In comparison with September 2012 the total turnover has known a decline of 1%, synthesis of a contraction of 3,4% on the domestic market and a growth of 4,4% on the foreign one.
On the other hand, as regards total orders, compared to August there was an increase of 1,6%, the synthesis of a 4,8% increase in foreign orders and a 0,8% decrease in domestic ones. On a year-over-year basis, the raw orders index marks a 7,3% increase, driven by 39,5% growth in computer manufacturing and electronic products.
