New unemployment record in Italy: in June, according to Istat, it reached 10,8% of the population, exceeding the 10,6% of May. The figure is the highest since the monthly surveys began, ie since January 2004, and for the fourth consecutive month it is above the 10% threshold.

Again according to Istat, there were 2,792 million people looking for a job in June, up 2,7% on the previous month (73 more people) and 37,5% on an annual basis (761 more ). On the other hand, youth unemployment (15-24 years) decreased slightly to 34,3% compared to 35,3% in May.
