Unemployment is falling in Italy. According to data released byIstatIndeed, in July, after the growth of the previous two months, the unemployment rate it suffered a drop of half a percentage point, settling at 12%. For unemployment, this is the lowest level recorded since July 2013.

The unemployment rate in the age group also declined 15 24-years, down to 40,5% from 43,1% in June. Also in this case it is the minimum level reached since July 2013. The number of unemployed young people is decreasing (-51 thousand on the previous month) and their incidence on the total number of young people of the same age group, which stood at 10,4 .XNUMX%.

Increase the employment rate, which stood at 56,3% in July, the highest since 2012. The number of employed people reached 22,479 million units, up by 1,1% over the year and by 0,2% compared to June (+44 thousand units).

As for the quarter between May and July, the data released by the statistical institute report a drop of 0,1% in both the unemployment and inactivity rates, while the employment rate grew by 0,2%. In the quarter, a sharp increase, on an annual basis, in the number of permanent employees (+0,7%, 106 thousand units)

In Germany, on the other hand, the unemployment rate for the month of August remained stable at 6,4% according to the seasonally adjusted figure of the Federal Employment Agency.
