Istat: deficit-GDP rises to 3% in the third quarter of 2013, tax burden slightly down

In the third quarter of 2013, the deficit/GDP ratio was equal to 3%, 1,6 points higher than in the third quarter of 2012. This is what emerges from the data of the quarterly public administration account collected by Istat and not valid for Maastricht purposes as they are raw.

In nine months the deficit/GDP ratio was 3,7%, with an increase of 0,3 percentage points over the year.

Also in the third quarter of 2013, the tax burden was 41,2%, 1,2 percentage points lower than the same quarter of the previous year, but in the nine months it rose to 41,4% compared to 41,2% in 2012. 

Le total revenue in the same period of 2013, they decreased, in trend terms, by 2,4%, while they rose by 0,2% in the nine months with an incidence on the GDP of 45,2% (44,7% in 2012).
