According to Istat data, consumer confidence grew to 98,3 in November, thanks to the clear improvement in the personal component and in the current climate indicator – Expectations on unemployment and assessments on the economic situation of families are increasing.

Consumer confidence grows in November. The relative index elaborated by Istat, in fact, it increased to 98,3 from 97,3 in October. Among the components, the economic component decreased from 93,1 to 91,6, while the personal component increased from 98,1 to 101,1. Current weather indicator increases from 96,1 to 99,2, future weather decreases from 98,5 to 97,3

Assessments on the general climate of confidence appear to be improving from -129 to -123, while expectations show a worsening, from -15 to -23. Expectations on unemployment increase from 71 to 74. As regards the economic situation of households, assessments improve from -64 to -60 while expectations, following a similar trend, pass from -18 to -14.

Opinions on current future opportunities are also growing, the balances of which pass respectively from 134 to 140 and from -59 to -53. Assessments on the opportunity to purchase durable goods improved, from -90 to -82.
