This was announced this morning by Istat, confirming the preliminary estimates and specifying that “the slowdown in inflation is mainly attributable to the widening of the decline on an annual basis in the prices of regulated energy sources. The contribution of other product groupings is marginal”. Inflation acquired for 2014 remains stable at 0,3%.

Ten big cities but they are already in deflation. Prices in July are decreasing on an annual basis in several capitals of the region or autonomous province: Torino (-0,4%), Florence (-0,3%), Bari (-0,3%), Roma (-0,2%), Trieste (-0,1%) And Potenza (-0,1%). The monthly decline in the general index is mainly attributable to declines in the prices of fresh fruit (-9,0%) and gods Fresh vegetables (-3,8%), affected by factors of a seasonal nature and the prices of Regulated energy (-3,1%); containing this drop were the monthly increases in the prices of non-regulated Energy (+0,8%) and Transport-related Services (+1,5%), also affected by seasonal factors.
