Israel threatens, there are 10 displaced Palestinians

Israeli heavy artillery and F16-fired missiles pound cities in the Strip. There are now 10 Palestinians displaced from Beit Lahya, which has become a combat zone, who have asked for hospitality in the institutions of Unrwa, the UN agency for refugees. And Palestinian President Abu Mazen sends a letter to the UN asking that "the State of Palestine be placed under the international system of protection of the United Nations."

On Sunday morning, leaflets were dropped from an Israeli plane announcing a land attack, urging the population, especially those residing in that agricultural area in the north of the Strip, in a-Atatra and Salatin, to flee. In some urban districts, however, there are still barricaded at home - according to Israeli television - a few thousand inhabitants. Meanwhile, long caravans of people were photographed as they made their way to Gaza City with makeshift vehicles

The United States, Great Britain, France and Germany are working to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis in the Middle East and Pope Francis expounds after the Angelus: "I address a heartfelt appeal to all of you to continue to pray insistently for peace in Holy Land, in light of the tragic events of recent days. I still remember the vivid memory of the meeting last June 8 with Patriarch Bartholomew, President Peres and President Abbas, together with whom we invoked the gift of peace and listened to the call to break the spiral of hatred and violence".

Meanwhile, John Kerry's position emerges from the summit: the United States is ready to help a truce in Gaza with the return to the 2012 ceasefire. Military operations, however, will continue, as Prime Minister Benjamin said Netanyahu: "We don't know when the operation will end, it could take some time".
