Israel-Hamas, no truce: raids and bombings continue

They continue the raids on Gaza, and the feared truce to allow the visit of the Egyptian prime minister turned out to be a very thin veil, torn by the launch of rockets from Hamas and by Israeli air raids, which would have been at least 130 in the night, according to Hamas sources.

They would have been several Interior Ministry buildings in Gaza were hit, while a missile slammed into Jerusalem, claimed by the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades with no injuries. Unfortunately, the count of the dead also continues, to which three Palestinians are added, bringing the total to 23 victims.

The mayor of Tel Aviv, for the first time since 1991, has ordered the opening of air-raid shelters, while sirens are sounding in Jerusalem. Israel has also recalled 16.000 of its reservistsi, more than half of the total, in what appears to be the prelude to an assault on Gaza.

Therefore, the fire does not cease, while theEU Foreign Policy High Representative Catherine Ashton launched an appeal to stop the escalation of violence: “The rockets fired by Hamas and other factions present in Gaza, which are at the origin of the current crisis, are totally unacceptable. Israel has the right to protect its population from these attacks, but I appeal for its response to be proportionate."
