The advance continues of Israeli forces inside the Gaza Strip. The Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, stated that Israeli forces are engaged in an operation in the northern Strip and have also arrived inside Gaza City:

"The Our forces are in the heart of the northern Strip, inside Gaza city, surrounding it and deepening the operation,” Halevi said, adding “Israeli forces are fighting in a dense and complex urban area, which requires professional combat and courage. The ground forces are accompanied by accurate intelligence, with fire from the sea and the air. This pairing makes the fight much more effective.” If necessary – added Halevi – thearmy is ready “to attack on other fronts".

Israeli military intelligence is using artificial intelligence and other automated systems to quickly and precisely identify Hamas targets. During the current land operation in the Gaza Strip, they were i1.200 new Hamas targets identified using these new systems. This technology is being used for the first time in order to immediately provide ground forces with updated information on targets to hit.

Heavy clashes in Gaza City

The Gaza Strip is therefore currently the scene of violent clashes between Israeli forces and Hamas terrorists. Attention is paid in particular to the Jabalia area, where there was also the refugee camp bombed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Here the soldiers are trying to dislodge the last remnants of the Hamas Central Command in the north of the Strip.

I bombings continue causing victims among the civilian population who are exhausted and without basic necessities. A Israeli attack hit a residential building in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, causing the death of at least 15 people. The news was reported by the Associated Press, citing a spokesperson for Gaza's civil protection. Another 27 Palestinians reportedly died in an airstrike near a United Nations school.

Overnight, the Israeli army continued to target terrorists and destroy infrastructure in Gaza. The military spokesman stated that the soldiers have clashed with numerous terrorist cells in the north of the Strip killing dozens of terrorists. Israeli forces used artillery, tanks and conducted an airstrike with a helicopter and a ship-launched missile to confront the Hamas militias.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains disastrous, according to UN agencies and the main international non-governmental organizations present in the area. Hamas reports that in the two Israeli attacks on the Jabalia refugee camp, they are at least 195 Palestinians died, with 120 missing. Violence and suffering persist, worsening the situation in the conflict-affected region.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health the total number of victims in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the conflict with Israel reached 9.061, of which 3.760 are children and 2.326 are women. At least 32.000 people were injured.

For United Nations experts "time is running out to prevent a genocide in Gaza".

Netanyahu: “We are at the height of the operation, we will not stop”

“We are at the height of the campaign, we have already achieved impressive successes, we are already beyond the entrances to Gaza City and we are moving forward” said the Israeli prime minister Benyamin Netanyahu speaking to the soldiers. “We also have painful losses but as one of the fighters told me 'nothing will stop us'. I appeal to people not involved to get out and go south, because we will not stop from eliminating Hamas terrorists."

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu later denied the army's claims, claiming that did not approve any transfers of fuel in the Strip. The statements follow Chief of Staff Halevi's announcement that he would be able to supply fuel to Gaza if hospitals ran out of supplies.
