The National Council of Cafs, an association to which almost all of the tax assistance centers adhere, "is evaluating the possibility of suspending the service for compiling ISEE practices starting from the first days of March", given that INPS "continues to don't give solutions". This is what can be read in a note released by the Consulta itself.
"If the expected responses from INPS and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies do not arrive in the next few days, the Consulta's shareholders' meeting will decide the terms and conditions for the interruption of the service". The losers could be the weakest citizens, in need of assistance to have access to the welfare services provided by the state.
At the basis of the stance, explains the Consulta, the absence of responses from the Institute: "The Cafs have been providing the Isee service to millions of families for almost two months, in the absence of a conventional relationship with INPS ; this situation is causing a worrying state of uncertainty in the performance of the activities, which poses problems of economic and financial stability on the part of the CAFs, lacking the coverage ensured by the agreement with the INPS”.
"Out of a sense of responsibility and out of respect for the citizens, the Cafs have kept their branches open", continues the note, which states that in the first 50 days of 2017 "there were at least 800 DSU files sent by the Cafs to the Inps, to obtain ISEE certification, but the absence of responses from the social security institution poses problems in the provision of the service that require quick solutions”.
