Yesterday, Isaac lost power and was "degraded" from a hurricane (on Monday it had also reached intensity level 1, with gusts exceeding 130 km/h) to a tropical storm, and is advancing increasingly slowly on the coasts of the Louisiana.
In New Orleans the fear of a new Katrina disaster seems to have passed but there is still a curfew: the most absolute state of alarm still exists and the city is deserted. Meanwhile, US authorities in Louisiana and Mississippi are already assisting flood victims. The people left without electricity are now more than 650 thousand.
