VAT numbers: Irpef, Ires and Irap towards the postponement beyond June 30th

To help VAT numbers in this phase of scarce liquidity, the Ministry of the Economy is evaluating the possibility of postponing the deadline for payments of the balance and advance of income taxes

VAT numbers: Irpef, Ires and Irap towards the postponement beyond June 30th

for VAT matches the hypothesis of a deferral of income tax. The measure, being studied by the Ministry of the Economy, would be important for easing the tax bottleneck expected for this month. In the absence of extensions, in fact, I will enter the 30 June VAT registered holders must pay the balance and the down payment of income taxes, i.e Personal income tax, IRES, IRAP, dry coupon e substitute taxes. But these are just some of the payments to be made within the next few weeks and the risk is that several taxpayers will find themselves in difficulty, given that the post-Covid restart is still in its infancy and liquidity is scarce.

In a recent interview with Sun 24 Hours, the Deputy Minister of Economy Laura Castelli explained that "in June, 144 deadlines were completed, including 30 advances for VAT numbers ". The number two of the Treasury then underlined that "when there are many difficulties, it is necessary to sum up". Consequently, “even on these revenues there is reflection: it is more complicated than the tax assessments, but this large majority allows us to address these issues without falling into ideology. Here too we are discussing ”.

The balance and advance of income tax can be paid in a lump sum or in installments. To date, those who pay beyond the deadline of 30 June, but in any case by 30 July, will see the application of minimum interest, equal to 0,4%.
