Iren: Francesco Profumo will be the new president

After a long negotiation, an agreement was reached on the new top management of Iren: the president will be Francesco Profumo, who succeeds Roberto Bazzano - the managing director will be Nicola De Santis, while Andrea Viero will be the new vice president - the members of the board will be presented during the next shareholders' meeting.

The top management of Iren has been redesigned: the new president will be Francesco Profumo, former Minister of Education with responsibility for the Department for technological innovation, while the new CEO will be Nicola De Santis and Andrea Viero will hold the position of vice president.

The future command team of the multiservice company is the result of the agreement reached, after a long negotiation, between the mayors of Turin, Genoa and Reggio Emilia, or Piero Fassino, Marco Doria and the new minister Graziano del Rio. The presentation of the members of the new Board of Directors is scheduled for the next shareholders' meeting, expected for June 27th.

Among the names that will join the new board are Roberto Bazzano, outgoing president of Iren, and the deputy mayor of Turin Tom Dealessandri. Anna Ferrero, Alessandro Ghibellini, Fabiola Mascardi, Ettore Rocchi, Lorenzo Bagnacani, Barbara Zanardi, Roberto Firpo and Franco Amato complete the picture.
