The Ferretti hypo has started which is taking rapid steps towards listing in Hong Kong. Debut date set: negotiations will start on Thursday 31 March.
The Ferretti IPO
Last Friday the pre-marketing phase officially ended. The price fork was set between 21,82 and 28,24 Hong Kong dollars, a figure equal to 2,53-3,27 euros. Ferretti's goal is to raise an overall sum of 211-253 million euros. By virtue of these numbers the market capitalization it should fluctuate between 844 million and 1,09 billion against a fleet of 25%.
China International Capital Corporation will participate in the operation, as sponsor in Hong Kong and global coordinator together with Intesa Sanpaolo and Bnp Paribas.
We recall that in the capital of Ferretti, the majority shareholder is the Chinese Weichai Holding, which controls 86,06% of the capital. Minority shareholders also include Piero Ferrari with the holding F Investments, which has 11,14%.
For Ferretti, boom in profits in 2021
From the press release published by the shipbuilding company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange website, important indications also emerge on the 2021 financial statements, closed with strong growth in net income (+70%) to 37,4 million euros e revenues up 47% to 898, million euros. The note also shows that between 2016 and 2020, net revenues increased with a CAGR of 5,2%, a compound annual growth rate "that has surpassed that of the global yacht industry and has consistently outperformed the market ”.
According to the estimates cited in the text, the market size of theglobal yacht industry will continue to grow and Ferretti is “well positioned to capitalize on the continued expansion of the inboard yacht segment, its main target market, and to seize global growth opportunities in the rapidly expanding outboard and sailing yacht segments”.
