iPhone 6 beats expectations: 10 million units sold in three days

THEiPhone 6 breaks all records. More than 10 million iPhone 6 and Plus versions were sold in just one weekend, the first since its September 19 launch in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and United Kingdom. The results of the next releases are now expected in another 20 countries by September 26, including Italy, up to a coverage of 115 countries, all before 2015.

The result recorded so far far exceeds all Apple forecasts, even beating the results of the iPhone 5 and 5s, which had registered sales of 9 million pieces in three days.

“The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales have exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend – comments the CEO of the Cupertino company, Tim Cook -. We couldn't be happier. We would like to thank all of our customers for making this launch the best ever. While our team managed production better than ever before, a larger supply would have allowed us to sell many more iPhones; we are working hard to fulfill orders as soon as possible”.
