#ioleggoacasa: comics to share Italian cultural sites

MiBAC official note: The project conceived and implemented by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, in collaboration with the Coconino Press – Fandango publishing house and the authors of the stories, makes part of the 51 books available free of charge for online reading every week dedicated to the country's museums and archaeological parks and illustrated by some of the best Italian cartoonists.

The main purpose of Fumetti nei Musei is precisely to bring young people closer to the museum heritage with different languages, more akin to their sensibilities. In a situation like the current one, where schools are closed and even museums cannot use the paper version for teaching, digital is of help. Every Sunday, six of the fifty-one albums will be published, then replicated individually from Monday to Saturday to allow museums to get involved with schools, students and cartoonists themselves to continue the educational courses.

And when it comes to digital, how can we fail to mention the space offered by social networks: every day the official @fumettineimusei profiles, supported by the institutional channels @mibact, @museitaliani and by the entire network made up of individual museums, will amplify the initiative above all the main and most popular platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. All with the hashtags #iorestoacasa and #ioleggoacasa.

We therefore begin with the first six comics set: at the Scaliger Castle in Sirmione with the story and drawings by ALTAN; at the Colosseum with the story and drawings by Roberto Grossi; at the “Domenico Ridola” National Archaeological Museum in Matera with the drawings and the story of Vitt Moretta; at the Pinacoteca di Brera with the drawings and the story of Paolo Bacilieri; at the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum with the drawings and the story of Roberta Scomparsa; at the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto with the drawings and the story of Squaz.
