The new Postepay app, arriving from Poste Italiane, in fact allows you to manage your card on the go, pay in a simple and secure way, send money to friends with a new function P2P: and so sending or receiving a payment becomes easier, like sending a message via Whatsapp, the messaging application that everyone knows.
Drawing on social network technologies and the most advanced security solutions, the new App aims to change payments and micropayments among the 13 million customers who use the most popular prepaid card in Italy. Payments in P2P mode allow you to send and request money in real time from all your contacts phonebook who have a Postepay card and the App and immediately dispose of the money sent. Furthermore, for payments under 25 euros, there are no transfer fees. The new method is designed in a community logic, for the exchange of money between people such as parents and children (perhaps on a study trip abroad), in the case of wedding lists, gifts between friends or micropayments to share lunch or dinner.
Our smartphone, therefore, increasingly performs the function of a purse and a credit card. The Postepay App is part of the wake of electronic payment systems such as 2Pay, Google Wallet, PayPal, Apple Pay and Satispay.
Another distinctive feature of the App also lies in the dual access possibility: in addition to the classic entry of username and password, login can be done with the telephone number associated with Postepay. The design of the App offers a complete view of all the Postepay cards owned through an immediate view of the balance and the latest movements.
Also included in the App is the "Search Post Office" function to find the nearest Poste Italiane counter and Postamat ATM. In addition, Postepay Evolution card holders, the prepaid card of Poste Italiane equipped with IBAN, can also make transfers and giro transfers from the App.
The applications of BancoPosta and Poste Italiane have already achieved more 5 millions of downloads. The Postepay App alone had 3 million and 200 thousand. Indeed, in the Italian competitive scenario, Poste Italiane is the first operator in terms of downloaded financial applications. Postepay fully complies with the security standards defined at a global level and is one of the most popular means of payment in e-commerce (one transaction out of three in Italy is concluded using a Postepay).
