Investindustrial elected best Private Equity Firm in Italy

Despite the worries that the English investment in Aston Martin is giving it these days, Investindustrial of the Bonomi family was awarded the recognition as best Private Equity Firm in Italy at the Private Equity International Awards 2019. The investment company announced it in a Note.

The motivation for the award reads as follows:

“Investindustrial has closed its seventh €3,75 billion buyout fund, beating its €3 billion target and making it one of the top European fundraisers of 2019. The group's Italian investments over the year include Italcanditi , a supplier of fruit-based ingredients to the food and dairy industries, and the vitamin and supplement maker Procemsa. Abroad, the firm has acquired hot tub maker Jacuzzi, British sports car marque Morgan, private label chocolate maker Natra, surfaces maker Neolith and assisted reproduction clinic group Ginefiv.

In the Private Equity Firm category in Italy, this is the ninth success in the last 15 years for Investindustrial. The assets managed by the company – which is also a holding company and a consultancy firm – amount to a total of 11 billion euros.
