After Generali, Unipol and Unipolsai, the international agency Fitch is also analyzing Intesa Sanpaolo Vita, the insurance arm of the bank led by Carlo Messina.
The company received a promotion from Fitch which decided to upgrade the Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) rating to 'BBB+' from 'BBB' with a negative outlook and confirmed the Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at ' BBB' with negative outlook.
The Perpetual subordinated debt rating was instead confirmed at BB+.
The review was carried out following the implementation of new methodological criteria for the ratings applied by Fitch to Italian insurance groups.
