Intesa Sanpaolo Vita, the insurance arm of the Intesa Sanpaolo group closed the first quarter of 2021 with a lifetime gross production equal to 4,281 billion euros, up by 3,5% compared to the same period of 2020 thanks to the results obtained by the Unit-linked sector (+52,8%) and by pension products (+5,3%) which offset the decline (-38,9% of traditional products. The new life production grew by 3,2%, settling at 4,181 billion euro, while i Business Protection awards mark an increase of 8,1% to 380 million euro. “It highlights the growth of non-motor products by 17,8% (excluding CPIs) on which the 2018-2021 Business Plan is concentrated. Intesa Sanpaolo RBM Salute as at 31 March 2021 contributed 50,9% of the protection sector (as at 31 March 2020 the contribution was to 49,1%)”, underlines the company in a note.

Going forward with the parameters, the consolidated net result rises by 8,9% to 217 million euros and includes minority interests of 3,4 million at March 31, 2021. The assets under management increased from 174,28 billion in December 2020 to 174,54 billion as at 31 March 2021, while in terms of assets and liabilities, shareholders' equity decreased by 100 million (-1,4%9 compared to the end of 2020, settling at 6,954 billion. The Solvency Ratio regulation is equal to 288%.

“In this new year – continues the manager – we have started the integration of the insurance companies originating from UBI and we have set up Intesa Sanpaolo Insurance Agency, thanks to which we will be able to offer, in coordination with the banking network, tailor-made products for companies, with the aim of protecting the health and welfare of their employees, as well as industrial risks such as , for example, IT ones". In this context, the company recalls the new “Vaccine Protection” policy of Intesa Sanpaolo RBM Salute, which protects against the risk of adverse reactions and ineffectiveness of the vaccine.
