Intesa Sanpaolo, Tim e Google signed the definitive agreements according to which the Bank will move "a significant part of its information system to Google's cloud services, which will meet the highest international standards of security and confidentiality of information and will rely on Tim's Italian Data Centers in Milan and Turin". The companies announce it in a note.

The project includes "the opening in Turin of a technological infrastructure for the provision of Google Cloud services and the creation of a center dedicated to artificial intelligence, to the training and professional support of start-ups through initiatives to be defined jointly between Intesa Sanpaolo, Google and Tim”, continues the note.

The presence of two specular Google Cloud Regions in Italy, in Milan and Turin, "will ensure Intesa Sanpaolo the operational continuity of the cloud services it needs", writes the Bank.

"Google Cloud services in the Cloud Regions will allow Italian households and businesses of all sizes to take advantage of the technological and economic advantages of cloud computing in a secure and sustainable way, making a decisive contribution to accelerating the digitization of the country", he concludes the note.

"The agreements signed today with Intesa Sanpaolo and Google Cloud represent an important step forward within the broader project that TIM is implementing with a view to providing the country with digital infrastructures suitable for making our businesses grow", adds Carlo D' Asaro Biondo, executive vice president Partnerships, Alliances and Tim Cloud Project.
