Intesa Sanpaolo joins forces with OurCrowd on startups

The agreement, signed through the subsidiary Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, aims to facilitate access to the international market for technological startups.

Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center e OurCrowd, an Israeli company active internationally in the through crowdfunding and platform of venture capital growing rapidly, today announced the signing of an agreement aimed at facilitating access to the international market of their own startup technological.

In detail, according to what we read in the joint note sent by the two companies, "over the last year OurCrowd has made significant progress in Western Europe, expanding its presence in London and Madrid, increasing the investor base in various countries of the world and establishing new relationships with important multinationals such as Halma in the United Kingdom and Innogy in Germany”.

At this juncture, thanks to this agreement, Innovation Center will provide its corporate and SME customers with access to the startup portfolio hi-tech of OurCrowd in order to create synergies for the market outlet. Conversely, by taking advantage of the new partnership, the companies and start-up customers of the bank led by Carlo Messina will be able to access the equity crowdfunding of OurCrowd, which since its inception in 2013 has raised more than 700 million dollars from over 25.000 investors from all over the world in favor of over 150 startup.

Marco Costantini, general manager of the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, shares the same opinion: “The agreement confirms the centrality of the startup ecosystem for the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. In fact, the partnership has the dual objective of making the best selected Israeli technologies available to our client companies and, on the other hand, offers our high-potential startups access to the network of over 25.000 thousand international investors in the OurCrowd network".
