Great success for Intesa Sanpaolo's new seven-year bond. Demand exceeded 4 billion euros, three times the amount offered of 1,25 billion.
7-year covered bonds placed will pay an annual coupon of 0,625%. The bonds were priced at 99,225% for a yield of 0,739%, and equal to the mid swap +45 basis points, below the expected yield, which was indicated equal to the mid swap +55 basis points. The operation is managed by Banca Imi, Barclays, Bnp Paribas, Lbbw, Rbi and Santander.
In Piazza Affari, the Intesa Sanpaolo share rises in the wake of the other banks. A little less than an hour after the closing, the shares marked a jump of 6,3% to 2,70 euros, after an intraday high of 2,75 euros.
