Agreement between Intesa Sanpaolo and trade unions on variable performance bonus to be disbursed to bank employees in 2023. The two parties also signed agreements on the tasks of the Commercial Policies and Company Climate Commission and on an additional payment into the time bank for personnel in the flooded areas of Emilia Romagna, Marche and Tuscany and for activities of organized volunteering in Turin and Milan.

The objective of the agreement announced today, Wednesday 31 May, is to "foster the involvement and participation of people in the group's objectives, thus confirming the principles of inclusion, merit and orientation towards sustainable results over time envisaged in the Business Plan 2022-2025".

But let's get to the figures: according to the provisions of the agreement, Intesa Sanpaolo will increase the total amount from 116 million in 2022 to 155 million euros in 2023, of which 25 million deriving from the experimental incorporation into the bonus system of the Protection Excellence System, which had not been subject to negotiation up to now. 

The base premium amount will vary from a minimum of 1020 euros to a maximum of 2750 euros, to which the shares of the will be added excellence award. "The variable result bonus is recognition of the professionalism and commitment made by each person of Intesa Sanpaolo to the Bank's achievement of results", announced the institution led by Carlo Messina.

It is a "important signal in favor of all colleagues at Intesa Sanpaolo»”, commented Paolo Citterio, Fabi coordinator at Intesa Sanpaolo. “The basic amounts are in fact raised further than in the past with un increase of 54% compared to 2021 and by 28% compared to 2022”. “It is certainly a positive result”, added Fedele Trotta, First Cisl responsible secretary of the group.

The other agreements 

An agreement was also reached to allow recourse to the Time Bank to employees in flooded areas of Emilia Romagna, Marche and Tuscany and for organized volunteering activities: an additional basin of 2 thousand hours will be made available and an extraordinary campaign will be activated to donate time by male and female workers, which Intesa Sanpaolo will increase to an extent equal to the donations specifically addressed to this initiative. 

Finally, an agreement on the tasks of the trade policies and corporate climate commission with the aim of developing constant monitoring of the reports received, with a view to a shared activity aimed at constantly improving the corporate climate.
