The call for ideas launched last April by the life companies of Insurance Division of Intesa Sanpaolo, in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, has collected more than 80 proposals from SMEs and start-ups and has seen the participation of companies operating in the Cleantech, Smart Mobility, Fashion, Manufacturing and Construction sectors, with projects focused on BtoB solutions and BtoBtoC.

The start up 9-tech, which operates in the Cleantech sector, was awarded the first prize by 250 thousand euros, for the project which envisages the introduction on the market of a process of disposal and reuse of exhausted photovoltaic panels, recovering high-value materials, including silicon, copper and silver, to re-introduce them into the various production chains.

The second prize, from 150 thousand euros, was obtained from Strategic BIM which, in the ICT/Real Estate sector, focuses on the reduction of energy consumption and management costs of large properties, through 3D digital simulations of buildings and their systems.

Finally, the third prize from 100 thousand euros was assigned in the ICT area to the plan Latitude 40, which will make the reading of indicative satellite data for urban sustainability more accessible, supporting environmental intervention decisions, in particular with respect to the amount of Co2 absorbed by a green area.

In addition, the winners will be monitored on the progress of the implementation plan, with a final presentation within a year to the work group of the Insurance Division and the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, which developed and followed up on the initiative.
