Intesa Sanpaolo is "Bank of the Year in Italy". For the second consecutive year, the banking group led by Carlo Messina has received recognition from the London economic-financial publication The Banker of the Financial Times Group, on the occasion of the "Bank of the Year Awards 2021": the awards assigned annually at a global level by the British magazine.
In awarding the prize, according to highly rigorous and analytical selection processes, the judges paid particular attention to the role played by banks in providing stability and support to the collective recovery effort from the pandemic crisis, "activities in which Intesa Sanpaolo has distinguished itself" , reads a statement. They therefore evaluated and rewarded the ability to be a leader in meeting the needs of customers and more generally of the economy with an eye to the future. Also rewarded was "the ability to adapt useful for establishing long-term growth, in the light of the global changes that have occurred in recent months".

At the same time, intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania was awarded the special recognition of "Bank of the Year for Banking in the Community 2021", for the initiatives promoted in favor of the local community.
