Intesa Sanpaolo: over 12 visitors to the Bronzino exhibition in the Turin skyscraper

With 12.330 visitors, the exhibition of the masterpiece closes today at the Spazio Trentacinque, the exhibition hall in the bioclimatic greenhouse of the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper in Turin. Madonna with Child, Saint Elizabeth and Saint John the Baptist of Agnolo di Cosimo di Mariano, known as Bronzino coming from Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte in Naples, opened last December 21st. (The figure includes reservations for the day of January 7.)

As usual for the initiatives carried out in the skyscraper, a full house was booked a few hours after the opening of bookings, confirming that it has entered the heart of the Turinese as a center of culture, as well as headquarters for the two thousand Intesa Sanpaolo employees who they work there. In fact, the result represents the maximum possible given the security and organizational constraints imposed, including compulsory booking and opening only in the afternoon on weekdays.

With this work, Intesa Sanpaolo's exhibition activity at the Turin skyscraper closes 2017 with around 30 visitors, after Portrait of Count Antonio di Porcia by Titian on loan from the Pinacoteca di Brera on display in April ei Betrothed cancelled by Emilio Isgrò exhibited in May at the Book Fair.

"The fact that Turin responds with such enthusiasm to our cultural and artistic proposals at the skyscraper encourages us to continue along this path with initiatives of the highest quality. Combining classical and contemporary art is a challenge that we can consider won also in terms of conservation and maximum enhancement of the works. This is demonstrated by the trust of first-rate institutions such as the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Capodimonte Museum, which grant us their masterpieces to be exhibited in the skyscraper. Working with the most authoritative and important museums in the world makes us proud and it is possible thanks to the credibility of the Bank and the Gallerie d'Italia for the seriousness and dedication shown also in cultural production and in the dissemination of knowledge of the artistic heritage of our country”, He comments Michael Coppola, Central Director of Art, Culture and Historical Heritage of Intesa Sanpaolo.

Remaining on the subject of protection and enhancement of the national artistic heritage, Turin will once again be at the center of the Bank's cultural initiatives with the opening in March at the Reggia di Venaria of the national exhibition of works restored thanks to Intesa Sanpaolo as part of "Restitutions", the program of restoration of artistic and architectural assets curated and supported by Intesa Sanpaolo every two years, in close collaboration with public protection bodies, superintendencies and museum institutions.
