Intesa Sanpaolo announced the creation of a new Government area Chief Data, AI, Innovation and Technology Officer (C-Daito). The new area will focus oninnovation and information technology, in line with the objectives of the Business Plan 2022-25. The structure will be led by Maximus Proverb.

The objectives of the new Intesa Sanpaolo area

The new organizational structure aims at enhance and further strengthen the relationship with the business.main goal of C-Daito is to develop more effective, flexible and integrated technological solutions, adopting cutting-edge technologies such as the cloud and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the structure aims to be more attractive in the world of work, offering opportunities for professional growth and making Intesa Sanpaolo an increasingly innovative and attractive employer.

Intesa expects 2.000 hirings in the IT sector

A fundamental element of the new C-Daito structure will be human capital. In addition to the talents already present within the company, Intesa Sanpaolo plans to hire around 2.000 IT professionals, selected among the best on the market. The goal is eitheroffer them constant professional development and growth over time, helping to consolidate the Bank's position as a company at the forefront of innovation and technology.

Three areas of coordination

Within the new area have been also created three areas of coordination: Group Technology, entrusted to Enrico Bagnasco; Digital Business Partners, entrusted to Vanna Alfieri e Transformation, entrusted to Paola Papanicolaou. Also, it comes enhanced the function related to Artificial Intelligence and enhancement of the information assets of the Bank, entrusted to Marco Ditta, and the function Cybersecurity, which remains entrusted to Fabio Ugoste.
