Payment systems are experiencing a period of continuous and consistent innovations in an increasingly dynamic and competitive context. The Bank thus intends to maintain its leadership role and facilitate the wider diffusion of the new payment methods.

The use of cards contactless it is also favored by the growing number of merchants, especially large chains, which have oriented the POS device towards the customer, allowing him to make the payment independently.

Intesa Sanpaolo, whose stock on the BANCOMAT® circuit is 6 million cards, has recently launched two new debit cards for customers consumer. BancoCard Basic allows you to make withdrawals, payments and deposits in Italy and is aimed at customers with basic needs and limited usage ceilings. BancoCard Plus, on the other hand, guarantees full operation both in Italy and abroad, because it is also authorized for the Cirrus and Maestro circuits.

The updating of the PagoBANCOMAT circuit with technology contactless it is a further step forward in achieving the objectives of the Bank's 2018-2021 Business Plan in the area of ​​payment systems.
