Intesa Sanpaolo has launched a ceiling of 500 million of credit to support and promote female entrepreneurship, on the same day they are awarded with the Golden Apple Women Value Company the two Italian companies: MULTI e Masseria San Domenico.

The two winning companies stood out for their innovative and inclusive development policies, for their ability to enhance female talent and merit and for the development of effective corporate welfare solutions.
Women Value Company, special category of the prestigious Marisa Bellisario Award, is the award established six years ago by the Marisa Bellisario Foundation and Intesa Sanpaolo to give visibility to SMEs investing in women, gender equality and corporate welfare.

The winning SMEs were chosen from a shortlist of 100 finalists, selected from among the 800 who nominated themselves throughout Italy as examples of excellence for inclusive corporate culture, offering important insights into the challenges of corporate strategies and the measures/tools of the PNRR to enhance women's entrepreneurship” says a note from Intewsa San Paolo.

MULTI (Small Business category), has been involved in marketing, export and communication consultancy since 1994 with headquarters in Bergamo and offices in Milan and Munich.

Masseria San Domenico (Medium Business category) is a 5-star hotel that has been welcoming its guests since 1996 in Fasano, in the province of Brindisi, in a XNUMXth-century farmhouse.


New for 2022 the two Special mentions, in line with the missions of the PNRR. The "Innovation Special Mention" was assigned to Rold, a group born in 1963 in Nerviano, in the Milanese area, market leader in the sector of electromechanical components for household appliances, while the "New Entrepreneurship Special Mention" was awarded to Nanomnia, a biotech startup from Verona born in 2017 that offers completely organic, biodegradable and microplastic-free nano, micro and macro encapsulation services to companies in the agrochemical, cosmetic, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and intelligent materials sectors.

Female businesses held up better during the crisis

It was also conducted asurvey of about 600 companies to identify, alongside the financial situation, both the methods of response to the pandemic crisis of 2020, both in terms of strategy adopted with a particular interest in the themes oftechnological innovation and attention to human capital: it emerged that 66% of companies achieved a growth in turnover and a margin higher than the median of the sector and size class to which they belong, against 29% of the total economy.
The 2022 edition of Women Value Company is connected to the missions of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, which, as part of the inclusion objectives, allocates actions and resources to encourage the increase in the participation of women in the world of work, in particular with the support for female entrepreneurial activity.

“Il Women's Enterprise Fund, to which the PNRR allocates a further 160 million euros, is one of these instruments and provides for subsidies useful for the implementation of investment programs for the start-up or development of women's businesses in the sectors of industry, handicrafts, transformation of agricultural products, services , commerce and tourism,” the statement said.
